„Echo“ is a tribute to the city of Tbilisi.
It is a serie of pictures taken in Tbilisi between 2019 and 2022. Photos are paired to converse. To form echo. The resonance of their relationship is what interests me to be perceived. They are to look at in connection with each other. The viewer is asked to make his own story.
No title is given to allow the freedom of interpretation.
My photographic process is instinctive. I shoot where I go rather than going to a place to take specific pictures. I believe both the photographer and the viewer are bonded into the same experience. I think photographers are always taking pictures of themselves and these images work as mirrors revealing the person behind the camera. And by extension the person looking at them.”
